January 27th – University of Indianapolis

The topic for this meeting will be the Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) being promoted by AACTE and most recently, by the NEA.  The TPA has been adopted for its initial field test by 21+ states as a way for teacher preparation programs to document accountability and generate national norms, especially as national and state forces are calling for such accountability.

Speakers for the meeting will include:

• Susan Petroff,  Senior Director of Programs and Development, AACTE and
• Andrea Whittaker, Director, Teacher Performance Assessment Stanford University School of Education.
• Also, planned for the meeting will be a panel of IACTE members who are exploring the use of TPA or already have integrated parts of the assessment.
